Being proactive with our health and wellbeing assists in maintaining health while overseas. Our physical bodies can indicate to us how we are doing in our overall health– how’s your pulse? When we are sick, have a medical condition or are in a medical crisis how we navigate getting the care and attention we need can be crucial. This training will lay some groundwork for learning what it meant to be medically agile and equipped with tools and resources in how to navigate medical and wellness needs when they arise, especially when living in unfamiliar territory.
Participants will learn:
- God’s perspective in taking care of our bodies, mind, heart, and soul
- Explore how each area of our personhood can affect the other areas
- Explore medical considerations before, during, and after field experience
- Identify helpful tools and resources related to wellness
