MARK COTE, D.MIN, M.DIV

Director

Mark fully enjoys life with his wife of 25 years, Kristin, and their three children! Mark holds Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity degrees from Regent University, VA. His doctoral research centered on missional family wholeness, characteristics, and mobilization; and his graduate coursework emphasized leadership renewal, life coaching, biblical studies, and practical theology. As a doctor of the Church, Mark seeks to support the healthy and faithful presence of the Body of Christ, which especially fits the scope and nature of Safe Place Ministry.

His professional experience spans local and international leadership, teaching, capacity-building, governance, development, and ministry and missions work in church, school, and community organizational settings. Mark has been ordained as a pastor both at a local church and denominational level. He speaks Spanish and has been equipped as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner, Trauma-Competent Caregivers Trainer, Making Sense of Your [Past] Worth Facilitator, and has Professional Lifetime Superintendent certification with the Association of Christian Schools International. He has written one book (Think Kingdom—Be Family, Xulon Press, 2014) and is working on another based on the testimony and legacy of Victoria Grace, their daughter who lived for six days after her birth in 2008.

He and Kristin have served together in many ministry assignments and are humbled and grateful to now lead the Safe Place team!
